Well... I have decided to close the poll to name my car.
It was another dead heat for the most part with 3 choices sitting with 3 votes each. I was going to set up another poll to allow only 1 choice per vote as a tie-breaker and then I realized I hadn't voted yet... So I voted for my fav of the top 3.
The name of my car is now Shortbus. :)

Hey!
So it looks like a fairly close race to name my car. I have another story to tell about it though. *sigh*
This weekend plans were made to go to Calgary. The reason for trip was a friend wanted to attend the Coronation of the the Calgary Court and he'd already booked a room and wanted somebody to share with. So I thought why not. It'd be nice to get out of town for the weekend and it just so happened that the Rocky Mountain Bears were doing a games night on Saturday. I wasn't going to go to any of the court events anyways, so the games night really worked out.
The trip down was uneventful. I picked my friend up from Ponoka (He lives in a little town called Rimbey). Guy had a full sized suitcase, 2 dry cleaner style hanging bags, cowboy hat box, and makeup kit... for 2 days. Damn queens lol. He was emperor 31 of the ISCCA. So after the Blazer was loaded we trucked it to Red Deer and swapped out for my Geo. The rest of the trip down was un-eventful.
On Saturday I drove him to pick up a couple of trophies he was presenting and came back to the hotel. From there he went off to help and I went shopping at the usual haunts while I'm in town. From there I went to the west end of town to pick up another friend to go to games night. Neither of us had eaten so it was decided that we were going to go to the Olive Garden.
On our way there though, my car started to overheat and there was steam escaping from the hood. Damnit. Once I was able to pull over I popped the hood and seen that there was a hole in the upper radiator hose and the inside of my engine was a green colour caused by the coolant that was now everywhere but in the radiator. So here it is just after 6pm on a Saturday and my car breaks down. Why is this important? Because any and all repair shops close at 6pm. *pouts* So I call AMA and it's about a 45 minute wait. On a brighter note. The car broke down right by Peters Drive In. So fairly decent food was eaten while we waited.
AMA, however, didn't sent a truck big enough to carry myself and a passenger... so I sent the car with him to a shop and called around to get a ride. I was able to track down a couple of friends that were able to help us out. It just happened to be a couple I've rescued a couple of times too so that was cool. We did go to the games night and I had a good time :) After playing games until about 2am I pleaded for a ride down town and was thankfully able to get back to my hotel. I gave my friend enough cash to cab it home. I had invited him to stay, but he said he'd prefer to get home as he'd likely just pass out in the room and aparently he isn't a quiet sleeper. lol
Now, on Sunday I hopped a cab and got to the shop before they opened ($25 later). Again, it was a fairly inexpensive fix. Just needed to replace the hose, a couple of clamps and fill it with coolant again. It took a couple of hours to get the car in and repaired though as I wasn't able to book an appointment (obviously) and at one point while I was waiting the counter guy said they couldn't find the part. *sigh* But it's fixed for now again. I just hope it doesn't break down in another week because I can't afford to keep fixing it.

Well... I got some relatively good news about the car.
The main problem turned out to be a broken PCV Valve. This allowed for a multitude of problems to build up including loss of pressure, intake of water and dirt... *sigh*. On the upside though, with parts and labour it only came to be $144 to fix. So dodged the bullet for now.
With that in mind though, I still haven't named the car. Here's the link to the post with a pic. I've had to create 2 polls as there were a lot of suggestions. Feel free to choose more then one. I'll pull the top 10 out and redo the poll at that point in time (unless 1 name really gets a lot of votes in comparison to others). If I've missed a suggestion add it in the comments section. I'm also considering added the definitions "The Man Eater" or "the Metro-Sexual" to other names. Please vote.

So here's the details about what my previous post is about.
To those that figured it out. Bravo :)
For those that didn't. My car has broken down.
The story begins Saturday afternoon. I had just had my fill food and family at my grandparents place. I was heading out and my car was running a bit rough. Apparently my dad tried to flag me down as I was leaving because he thought the car may have been firing on just 2 cylinders. He called me on Sunday night to tell me that he tried to flag me down as I was leaving. Why he waited more then 24 hours to call... I don't know.
Anyways, he mentioned that I should get the car into a shop to check the plugs and wires but it'd likely cost at least an hours labour etc and he said he'd look at it if he were closer. My parents live in a place called Red Deer which is about an hour and 15 minute drive south of Edmonton. So I tell him that I could just drive down to see him on Monday as I had it off and nothing else planned.
So Monday I start the car, it's running fine and I get to Red Deer no problems. I stopped at my bank to pick up some cash because I knew I was going to stop for a slice of pizza downtown at some point. I can't find a similar pizza style here in town so I make it a point to stop when I'm in Red Deer. As I am leaving the bank however I start to hear a higher pitched grinding noise. So admittedly I start to freak out a bit. I know it's not the breaks because the sound was only there when the car was moving and didn't get louder or quieter when I pressed on the breaks. So I decided to head right to my parents to park it. When I get there I notice my car is now overheating. Shit.
So I park the car and let it sit. I spent the next couple of hours at home playing with the dogs and watching TV waiting for my dad to get home. He gets home and we immediately look at the car. We checked fluids (which all seemed fine aside from the coolant was low) and made sure the belts were still on (they were, unlike when the jeep broke down at Christmas). I fired it up and it was running fairly smoothly. Now any of you who have seen the engine of one of these cars knows there's not much clearance for anything as it's just a glorified motorcycle engine pulling the car. There's a plastic casing that was sitting awfully close to one of the belts and when the car was running me dad moved it over and it produced a noise similar to what I heard earlier.
So I shut the car off so my dad could check the plugs and wires, well, he didn't have the right socket size to check so it was off to the store to get a socket and some new spark plugs. We get back to the car and yeah, the plugs aren't exactly pristine, so we swap em out. I fire the car up and it's running rougher then it was earlier. Again, shit...
So I took the car for a test drive (Read I went to get pizza). The car was shifting at different speeds then it usually does and acceleration wasn't what it normally was. So before I was about to head home I figured I would take a road that would allow me to go a bit faster to see if my car could even make highway speed. Unfortunately it wasn't maintaining at 60km/h, let alone the 110km/h that I'd have to be traveling on the highway. So back to my parents place I went.
We checked the plugs again. They were in tight, but one of the three didn't feel connected. I also figured I might as well check the air filter in the car. I hadn't done so since I got the car in January. So i popped the lid and took the air filter out. Underneath the filter it appeared to be muddy. Like there was dirt and water under the filter as well as a yellowish coloured fluid. We wiped out the gunk and put it all back together to take it for a drive. I was still having acceleration problems and it was idling rough. It threatened to stall when stopped at lights and signs. Dad figured it might be something in the fuel line. So we stopped back at the store and picked up some cleaning fluid. We then decided to take it on a secondary highway which would allow me to push the car to 80km and onto a primary to see if I could get it to 110. It struggled the hole way. It did eventually reach each speed, but it took far longer then it should have and I had to keep my foot almost to the floor to do it. Fuck.
The car made it back home. From there my parents offered to let me take their Blazer home (Which has a history/problems of it's own). So I inquired about possibly taking a bus home from Red Deer as an option. The only bus leaving for Edmonton from Red Deer wasn't leaving until 2am as it was already 9:30pm when we got home from the test drive. *sigh* So I wound up taking their blazer home.
So as of right now my car is in a shop in Red Deer and hopefully I'll know more tomorrow as to what's going on. Lets just say I'm not exactly happy with the situation.
